At its heart are the Seven Hermetic Principles, which form the architecture of its teachings:
- The Principle of Mentalism: “The All is Mind; the Universe is Mental.” This principle asserts that everything in existence originates from a universal, conscious mind.
- The Principle of Correspondence: “As above, so below; as below, so above.” It emphasizes the harmony and reflection between different planes of reality—physical, mental, and spiritual.
- The Principle of Vibration: “Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates.” Matter, energy, and even thought are seen as manifestations of varying frequencies.
- The Principle of Polarity: “Everything is dual; everything has poles.” Opposites—such as hot and cold, love and hate—are merely extremes of the same spectrum and can be reconciled.
- The Principle of Rhythm: “Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides.” This law accounts for the cyclical nature of all phenomena, from seasons to emotions.
- The Principle of Cause and Effect: “Every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause.” It rejects arbitrary chance, positioning the universe as a realm of lawful consequence.
- The Principle of Gender: “Gender is in everything; everything has its masculine and feminine principles.” This refers not merely to biological sex but to creative and receptive energies present in all things.
